Andrew Dawson D.O.

Dr. Andrew Dawson entered neurology to find the underlying causes of his patients’ issues and not just to treat the symptoms. From your first visit, through your continued care and your last visit, Dr. Dawson’s goal is to treat the root cause so the symptoms go away.

Dr. Dawson was born and raised in St. Louis. Dr. Dawson’s route to medicine is a unique one. After graduating from Hazelwood Central High School, he headed to the University of Missouri where he earned his Bachelors in Music Education. After graduation, Dr. Dawson taught strings in the McCluer High School stack to students from 4th grade to 12th. You may have actually seen Dr. Dawson play bass in local rock, country and church bands throughout the St. Louis area during his time at UMSL and teaching. While teaching, the science bug hit Dr. Dawson and he started attending St. Louis University where he earned his Masters in Organic Chemistry. After earning his Masters degree, Dr. Dawson attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Dawson did his Neurology Residency under Michigan State University at Garden City Hospital in Detroit while training under the esteemed neurologist, Dr. Anne Pawlak. After his time in Detroit, Dr. Dawson earned a Fellowship at the acclaimed Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD where he focused on Headache Neurology. Dr. Dawson and his partner, Dr. Divya Sivakumar are the only Fellowship trained Headache specialists in the St. Louis area.

Dr. Dawson is an assistant professor at Ponce University in Saint Louis. He lectures for the medical school. He has done a variety of other lectures for A.T. Still University, attorneys, and conferences for attending physicians.

As any true St. Louisan, Dr. Dawson loves his Cardinals, Blues and is on the waiting list for St. Louis City S.C. season tickets. If he is not at the clinic or watching his games, Dr. Dawson can be found listening to his favorite teams while playing with his homemade 3D Printer, his custom lasers or weekends out fishing. 

Divya Sivakumar D.O.

Raised in the St. Louis area since 4 years of age, Dr. Sivakumar is St. Louis through and through. After graduating from Parkway South High School, Dr. Sivakumar attended St. Louis University where she double majored in Biology and Spanish. After graduating SLU, Dr. Sivakumar attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

After attaining her medical degree, Dr. Sivakumar did her neurology residency through Michigan State University at the Garden City Hospital. Dr. Sivakumar, chose neurology because of its innate complexity and connectivity to other health issues as well as the grateful patients of neurology as together her and her patients get to the root causes of the health problems. After finishing her residency, Dr. Sivakumar received a fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin where she studied under the premier headache specialists including Dr. Fred Freitag, recognized as one of the top headache specialists in the country.

Dr. Sivakumar is an assistant professor at Ponce University in Saint Louis where she lectures for the medical school.

Dr. Sivakumar’s passion lies with her daughter and her cat. In her spare time, if she has any, Dr. Sivakumar enjoys reading, fashion/beauty, time with friends and family and anything and everything about the NBA.

Ashley Gittemeier

Office Manager

Ashley was born and raised in Saint Charles, Missouri. She graduated from Duchesne High school and was a cheerleader for the hockey team. Ashley has her certificate in Billing and Coding and has her Associates degree in Health Information Management from DeVry University. She has been working in the medical field for 15+ years doing billing and coding for the last 7 years.
Ashley enjoys creating items such as T-shirts and more on her Cricut. Much like her high school days, she can be found at home cheering on and watching the Cardinals, Blues and KC Chiefs. Her life is enriched by listening to music and enjoying the company of her husband of 6 years and 5 kids (along with her dogs).

Maurice

Front Desk Coordinator

Maurice is a man of many talents. He can be found drumming on many weekends at his church. Occasionally he works as a camera operator for a local television station.

Cheryl

Scheduler

Cheryl is a retired delivery driver who loves to spend time with her family. She loves to travel. It could be said easily that she really loves to find a great bargain. Pampered Chef is a passion of hers.
Like the rest of the Saint Louis crew, she follows the Cardinals with regularity. Mickey Mouse and Zebras can be found frequently amongst her decorations. Her and her significant other have two cats and a dog that shares their loving home.

Casey

Medical Assistant

Casey has worked in the medical field for at least a decade. She enjoys spending time with her friends and catching a concert or two with her significant other. In the summer you will likely catch Casey poolside with her twin girls. Casey believes that life is about making the most of the moments you spend with others.
